Chanel Couture Spring 2015

The Chanel catwalk theme was like something out of your most beautiful dreams, a futuristic floral wonderland full of blooming bouquets & exotic plants. As ever the models showcases multicoloured tweeds, a trademark Chanel style in ever evolving jackets and skirts. The crop to remained a staple while the waist was dropped on skirts to reveal plenty of mid drift.
I just adore the detailing in the Chanel shows, from embroidered flowers and jewels to the woven fabrics every detail is so perfect and there isn't a colour that goes unused.

The headwear was equally as eye catching as the outfits. The girls wore knitted beanies in chunky pastel yarns decorated with feathers, florals and jewels. They instantly reminded me of Cara walking down the Giles catwalk last year in her trademark beanie hat. Styling it with a classic blazer and sophisticated red lip gave the hat a reinvention. I loved the added twist of netting over the eyes, a style seen worn by Jourdan Dunn a few months back. Keeping the looks young and current yet conveys everything Chanel is about - Parisian style.

The skirts were full of ballerina vibes, beautifully full and floating in every length. The small leather belt and daring mid drift gave the outfits a grungier laid back feel.

How amazing is this jacket & crop top!?
Here are some more couture shows I loved from this week...

Elie Saab

Atelier Versace

 Victor & Rolf

 Dior

Couture week is all about the extravagant, luxurious dresses that we all dream of wearing, and these shows certainly didn't disappoint.
